Paul is jobless, alone and about to turn 30. He's also selling up the family council house. Joan, his older sister, pays him an annual birthday visit, neither of them knowing that this year will be different from the rest. With the unexpected rediscovery of their childhood tandem bike, the siblings set off on a day's cycling trip that tests their bond and threatens to resurrect the past.
